Design Brief:

The 3 poster series is school project that design for BCIT Student Association to promote the Multicultural Potluck festival. BCITSA likes to have a festival to all BCIT students and staff to share tradition food and learn different cultures. The poster gives message of international, multicultural and taste food.

Project Purpose:

To develop and design a series of three posters for a local festival or event. All three posters must share the same visual language and design concept. Each poster must have a different point of view or take.

• Learn the design principles and the Psychology of Colours
• Demonstrate the ability to create and develop a design concept into a series of three posters.
• Research and write a Creative Brief.
• Create a mind map, thumbs, roughs, and final poster designs.
• Apply basic design principles (hierarchy, contrast, visual language) and elements (point, line, plane, shape) covered in class.
• Apply the psychology of colours to choose appropriate colours and images.
• Make effective and engaging typeface selection(s).
